After many years working in research and completing a Masters degree in epidemiology (1994), Veronica completed her PhD in 2004 and continued to work in public health and genetics research until 2009.

Veronica has recently finished working as a scientific writer for a men’s health information and education provider after more than eight years. During this time Veronica complemented her employment with freelance writing, editing, proofreading and research which is now her main activity.

Prior to her research career, Veronica was a secondary school teacher. Throughout her career, spanning teaching, research and writing, she has been drawn to the art and science of communicating knowledge and ideas.
